To diagnose a child with ADHD just because he is bouncing off the walls one day is a little premature.Mark Kastlemanhttp://candeobehaviorchange.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625499285322740587.post-41147537702687163692009-10-13T16:36:49.367-05:002009-10-13T16:36:49.367-05:00Because I am not an attorney, I am unable to answe...Because I am not an attorney, I am unable to answer that question (give you legal advice). There are probably cases where people have sued for wrong diagnoses. I am sorry I cannot give you a more definitively answer.<br />RossRoss Rosenberg, M.Ed, LCPC, CADChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08871501303712924535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625499285322740587.post-46654375205113892412009-10-13T13:37:31.154-05:002009-10-13T13:37:31.154-05:00I wonder if you can sue for misdiagnosis.I wonder if you can sue for misdiagnosis.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625499285322740587.post-83899825741022071982009-09-21T08:40:37.460-05:002009-09-21T08:40:37.460-05:00Extremely informative article. His doctor sent out questionaires to all school personal who work with him when he was in 3rd grade. He diagnosed him as not having ADHD and not needing medication. He talks in class at times. It has been his reason for getting in trouble since third grade. Last year his teacher kept saying "put him on medication". He's in junior high now. Not a word from any of his teachers (one month into school). Side note, he gets A's, B's, and C's. School just isn't one of his favorite past-times. It's just hard as a parent when the teacher is constantly belittling your child, and you know their potential, whether they have a diagnosis or not. Thank you for puting everything in such a clear perspective.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
